Come stay as your father, grandfather, and even great-grandfather did when they went to a fishing camp!  Relax with us on beautiful Sandy Island  - away from the hustle   and bustle of the mainland, where the reeling is fast and the fish are jumping!

At Tall Pines Camp, not only is there good fishing, but it is a great place to just get away.  Tall Pines is a boat-in camp that offers you more than a fishing or bear hunting vacation, it’s an adventure that will be filled with good times, new friends, and great memories. We're situated on 9 acres of the south shore of  Sandy Island.  The island itself consists of 1600 acres and is just minutes away from the famous French River.  Numerous islands, bays, and channels provide excellent fishing.  This area is considered to be one of the most productive fishing areas on Lake Nipissing.  Catch your limit at one of the many hot spots not more than 15 minutes from camp.

From deep, rocky drop-offs at Gilbralter’s cut, to the weed beds and shore lines through Canoe Pass, the waters are full of Northern Pike, Walleye, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Perch, and the ever  elusive Muskie!

When you're not fishing, sit back and relax on the front porch of an authentic log cabin that's nestled amongst the fragrant pine trees, and take in the beauty of the lake.

Enjoy the peace and quiet that only an island setting can provide.

Tall Pines Camp offers 6 clean and comfortable log cabins on the waterfront with your private dock.  The cabins are well distanced from each other amongst the white pines to insure privacy.  They all have a covered porch to sit on and enjoy the scenery on those occasional rainy days.

Each cabin is equipped with a refrigerator, stove with oven, and lights - all run by propane.  All of the necessary cooking and eating equipment are provided as well as blankets, pillows and linens. (Please bring your own towels and toiletries).

They also have running water, outside gas grill, and a wood burning stove for those chilly mornings or cool evenings.  A wood pile is located nearby.  A clean, deodorized, and vented outhouse is only a few short steps out the back door of each cabin. 

Private, hot showers including a flush commode, vanity, and propane lights are centrally located for your convenience.

Our fish cleaning hut is screened, has a battery operated light for those late evening catches and running water for easy clean-up.

A deep, driven well supplies excellent cold drinking water for everyone.

Come unwind with us in the scenic Canadian wilderness and try your skills against the residents of the unpolluted water.  Walk the trails on the island, swim, or just sit back, relax, read a good book and enjoy your time away from the fast lane!
